Comedy is all just a matter of personal preference. That being said, it would be my personal preference for "Movie 43" to be buried at the bottom of the ocean, never to be seen again by human eyes.
"The Impossible," directed by "The Orphanage"'s J.A. Bayona, is an exceptionally well-made movie. I could almost see it as one of the best movies of the past year. I almost could, but I can't.
What happens in "Funny Games" is horrendous. And it happens unexpectedly. And it keeps happening. But, you never have to look at it. You have to look at the people who do it and to whom it is done, and you have to live with their reactions. It's not that it is relentless, but it becomes so horribly inevitable, that you can neither turn away nor watch. But you must.
Edward Norton and Naomi Watts are surprising in each new role that they take on. The two bring a few surprises with their newest movie "The Painted Veil."
Don't let the title fool you, "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" is not a documentary. Nor is it anything like Oliver Stone's "JFK." Instead the film, set in 1974, is a psychological portrait of a regular guy pushed to the brink.
The Impossible is here to rock you like a hurricane...and I can make that bad joke because the film is about the 2004 tsunami and by making a reference to the Scorpion's rock song it is not offensive because it literally makes no sense.
The Impossible tells the true story of a family on vaca...
