7 questions for Wisconsin's own Tom Wopat

It's been more than a decade since OnMilwaukee spoke to Tom Wopat, best known as Luke Duke from the hugely popular `80s series, "Dukes of Hazzard." Wopat, of course, is from Lodi, just outside Madison, and in his career he's done a lot more than the Dukes. A Tony-nominated Broadway actor, he's also released a number of successful albums in different genres. Now, Wopat is coming home (or close to home, anyway) to open the Oconomowoc Arts Center's Main Stage Series on Saturday. He'll be performing jazz-inspired renditions of contemporary classics from his album, "I've Got Your Number."


Panga's vacation vibe breaks the Milwaukee monotony

Published July 26, 2015 recently made the trek out to Panga and realized that it really wasn't much of a trek at all. Mike and Kristyn Eitel, who also own The Nomad and the BelAir chain, acquired the Oconomowoc-based Panga in early June.

While the campy but delightful TV show "Batman" approaches a half a century since its network debut, the Batmobile remains an "it" automobile, standing the test of time in coolness and recognizable design. Baby Boomers, Bat-Fans and beyond dream of cruising around town in style if ever given the keys to take Batman's ride for a spin. For Oconomowoc native Craig Schiefelbein, that dream is a reality, tucked away in his personal Batcave.


Nomad owners open two new businesses near Oconomowoc

Kristyn and Mike Eitel formed a new partnership and purchased The Sports Channel on Upper Nemahbin Lake outside of Oconomowoc in the Village of Summit. The couple quietly opened Panga Bar and Grill, 34422 Delafield Rd., on Friday, June 5, and plan to open Nomad Boardsports later this summer in a building at the same location.
