The Brewhouse Inn was a great staycation, not just because of the retro elegance of this boutique hotel, but because what it represented: my father-in-law spent many years working for Pabst, below the hotel in the "powerhouse."

Perhaps it's a bit trite to fall back on the argument of "you weren't the first to..." when it comes to hipsters, but -- like every mind-shattering fact on the Internet -- a Wikipedia page has given us the true origin of the hipster. And, guess what, they were cool 40 years before you were even born. Rick Sackett is the general manager of O'Lydia's Pub and Grill, an Irish-themed establishment in Walker's Point that took over the Slim McGinn's space three years ago. Recently, we stopped in for a couple of pints and a bar side chat.
