In November, OnMilwaukee.com reported that 88Nine Radio Milwaukee (88.9 FM) would most likely move to a new location in the Fifth Ward and it was officially announced today that it will happen. A new Stone Creek Cafe will open on the ground floor.

WYMS-FM 88.9, known as "RadioMilwaukee," hopes to be in a new space by the end of the summer or early fall of 2013.

Last week, OnMilwaukee.com posted an interview with 88.9's Scott Mullins, who accepted a program director position in Baltimore. In the interview, Mullins makes a comment that raised eyebrows at multiple radio stations and inspired columns by Fan-Belt's DJ Hostettler and The AV Club's Steve Hyden.

While most Milwaukee music fans know DJ Madhatter as the master of the turntables for hip-hop trio The Rusty Ps, his new position as the weekday morning host at 88Nine RadioMilwaukee introduces him to local audiences as a different kind of DJ, one known to friends, family and listeners as Jordan Lee.
