Iconic East Side boutique, Starship, 1661 N. Farwell Ave., will close at some point this summer. The shop - which features unique clothing and accessories - is currently having a large sale to sell off inventory.

A bit of local history was unwittingly uncovered recently when a billboard was removed at 27th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, revealing the above ad for the now-razed Randolph Hotel, which occupied the southwest corner of 4th and Wisconsin from 1927 until 1994.

Imagine writing a song so memorable that 20 years later a record label appropriates the title for its name. That's what happened to long-defunct Milwaukee band The Shivvers. With a retrospective CD out, the band is finding overdue success in America and abroad.
