PrideFest: June 10-12
PrideFest celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) culture and the LGBTQ community.
The festival started in 1988 with a 500-person picnic in Mitchell Park, but since 1997, it has taken place at the Henry Maier Festival Park. Every year, the event attracts thousands of people and families, both gay and straight.
This year's headliners include Sarah Silverman, Blondie, Deborah Cox and more.
Drag shows, DJs, interfaith prayer services and children's activities are also scheduled. There is also a plethora of local acts.
Where: Henry Maier Festival Park.
Hours: Friday, 3 p.m.-midnight; Saturday, noon-midnight; Sunday, noon-10 p.m. The Dance Pavilion closes at midnight.
Admission: $17 general admission for a single-day ticket at the gate; $13 online. A three-day pass is also available for $39. You'll need to buy reserved premium seating for the main stage shows. VIP passes also available.
