What was your favorite Big Gig gig?

Social Circle: "What was your favorite Summerfest concert of all time?"

Summerfest has a great musical lineup this year and it's very possible that one of the 2011 shows will go down in Big Gig history. For now, however, we only have the past Summerfest seasons to reflect upon when trying to determine which show sticks out in our mind as the very best.

And can we pick just one?

OnMilwaukee.com's Twitter and Facebook community responded with favorite shows which fell into multiple genres and spanned across four decades. Feel free to chime in with your favorite Summerfest show via the Talkback feature.

John Adler: "Social Distortion on the FM 102.1 U.S. Cellular Stage. I met Mike Ness!"

Elaine Alred: "INXS in '86 and the year before (lead singer) Michael (Hutchence) killed himself. Then last year's B-52s and Devo."

Emily Ann: "AFI in 2007!"

Mike Brenner: "I saw an amazing Ziggy Marley show in the early '90s where even after the band left the stage, the crowd sang the chorus to 'Tomorrow People' for 10 minutes until the band back came and played it again. Feeling that energy is one of the reasons I dropped out of college (the first time) to play music professionally. "

Molly Boutell Butler: "That INXS concert was supposed to be my first Summerfest concert. Pre-amphitheater. Went with my BFF and her older sister. If I remember correctly, it was unbearably hot and sunny right up until INXS was supposed to come on."

Pat Buechs: "Jose Feliciano and Joni Mitchell in 1971 or so."

Kory Beavers: "Sugarcubes, PIL, New Order and the Femmes. Awesome show!"

Kevin Brandt: "Jimmy Buffet on the old shell Main Stage."

Scott Carlson: "Huey Lewis & the News."

Geoff Carter: "The Band sometime in the late '70s."

Jason Chacon: "Kanye West and Kid Cudi."

Peter Hackl: "Foo Fighters with Pete Yorn opening."

Daniel Hinz: "Any of the Die Kreuzen appearances back in the '80s."

Tina Hulen: "Scythian. Let me breathless. Had to hug and thank every band member afterward. Amazing."

John Jacobs: "INXS concert that got rained out and closed Summerfest early. One of the more memorable nights of my life."

Elizabeth Kay: "Tom Petty!"

Adam Levin: "Foo Fighters. Side stage, 1997."

Lena Martinez: "Rusted Root!"

Melissa Paap-Young: "Fleetwood Mac. Can't remember the year, but more than two years ago. Totally great!"

Maren Valentine: "Buddy Guy, 2004, just after a huge rainstorm. The park had cleared way out and we had front row seats."

Jordan Christopher Wall: "The Ramones with Debbie Harry, Tom Tom Club (forgot the year) but managed to get kicked out during the Ramones encore in perfect punk rock fashion."

Madryn Wallace: "After all the years, way too many to choose just one."

Deanne Wecker: "Joan Jett on the 93.3 FM Rock Stage, 1988 (or was it '89?)."

Laura Williams: "Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. Hands down. July 4, 1999. It was about a million degrees, but I didn't even notice. We were having too much fun!"

Christopher Wing: "Sugarcubes, PIL, New Order, Femmes."
