Summerfest announces admission promo days for 2014

This morning, Summerfest announced this year's special admission promotions, giving Big Gig patrons a chance to snag free or discounted admission every day during the festival.

Unless otherwise noted, all special exchanges begin at noon and take place at the Mid Gate Promotions Booth, across the street from the Summerfest Mid Gate at Harbor Drive and Chicago Street. They go each day until 3 p.m. or until ticket supplies run out.

This year's promotional specials include:

Wednesday, June 25: Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with FOX 6, noon until 3 p.m. All patrons who donate three non-perishable food items will receive one free weekday admission ticket. Donations will be accepted at the Mid Gate Promotions Booth as well as the North Gate. All donations received go toward Hunger Task Force.

Thursday, June 26: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel "Show Your Smile" Day, noon until 3 p.m. All patrons who present the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel coupon at any ticket window will receive one free weekday admission ticket with the purchase of one weekday admission ticket. The coupon will be available in the Sunday, June 22 edition of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. No copies will be accepted.

Friday, June 27: KAPCO "Go Red" Day with the Wisconsin Badgers and the BIG 920, noon until 3 p.m. All patrons wearing a red shirt will receive one free admission ticket. Those participating should stop by the Mid Gate Promotions Booth to receive their ticket. Starting at 5 p.m. on June 27, the first 5,000 patrons will also receive one pair of U.S. Cellular/Summerfest Ear Buds and Case, compliments of U.S. Cellular and Summerfest.

Saturday, June 28: Goodwill Day, noon until 3 p.m. or while supplies last. The first 1,500 patrons who make a donation to a Goodwill Store & Donation Center between June 1 and 28 and bring in their specially marked original Summerfest donation receipt will receive one free admission ticket. Only one donation receipt is allowed per person, and only original receipts received at a Goodwill Store & Donation Center dated between June 1 and 28 will be accepted.

Sunday, June 29: Kohl's Family Day, noon until 3 p.m. or while supplies last. The first 2,500 patrons who donate three non-perishable food items for kids will receive one free admission ticket. Suggested items include peanut butter, canned fruit, and macaroni and cheese. All donations will go toward Hunger Task Force.

Tuesday, July 1: Sentry Foods and Dean's Milk & Ice Cream Children's Fest Day with TODAY'S TMJ4, noon until 3 p.m. All patrons will be admitted free. Spend a fun-filled day with the family enjoying Children's Fest activities, including the Map of Fun and Family Ticket Package giveaway contest. Select food vendors will also offer discounts on food and beverage items.

Wednesday, July 2: Direct Supply SeniorFest Day, noon until 4 p.m. All patrons age 60 and up will be admitted free when they check in at any gate. Those seniors will also receive an offer for $2 off a food and non-alcoholic beverage purchase over $10.

July 3 will also be H.O.G. Day at Summerfest, running from noon until 3 p.m. Receive one free weekday admission ticket when presenting a valid Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) card. One admission ticket per each H.O.G. card. In addition, H.O.G. members will have exclusive access to the Harley-Davidson Hospitality Deck located at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse between 5 and 9 p.m. Space is limited, so it's first come, first served, and once the deck reaches capacity, access will be on a "one out, one in" basis.
