There's plenty of new stuff to try out when Summerfest cracks open Wednesday afternoon, from the deep-fried Old Fashioneds to the pizza with the mac-and-cheese crust and much more. But only one new feature promises to put you right in the middle of MKE – quite literally.

On Wednesday, VISIT Milwaukee will unveil a brand new, interactive art installation at the Summerfest grounds' south gate – aka the one with the big instruments – featuring an "M" and "E" in big six-foot-tall letters, with guests invited to pose as the missing "K" in the middle. Or pose as a different letter. Or just pose normally, but we're quite confident VISIT Milwaukee would prefer a "K."

The photo op will be making its way around several other Milwaukee events – such as German Fest, Irish Fest, State Fair and Boo at the Zoo – throughout the summer as a part of a new social media campaign from VISIT Milwaukee, encouraging visitors and locals to take a photo with the letters and tag the resulting post with #MeInMKE. Its debut, however, will be at Summerfest, where it'll stay throughout the entire festival.

So get out there and be in the middle of the fun summer action – and in the middle of MKE while you're at it.
