Major League Baseball has assigned the umpires for the Brewers-Phillies playoff series that begins Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.

Dana DeMuth, a 25-year veteran will lead the crew. DeMuth will head a crew that includes Jim Joyce, Fieldin Culbreth, Mark Wegner, Brian Runge and Paul Nauert.

Here is a look at each umpire's first-game assignment and post-season experience:

HP: Dana DeMuth -- DS (1996-'97, '99, 2001); 5 LCS (1991, '95, 2000, '02, '07); 3 WS (1993, '98, 2001)

1B: Mark Wegner -- 3 DS (2003-'05); 1 LCS (2007)

2B: Brian Runge -- 2 DS (2004, '07)

3B: Fieldin Culbreth -- 3 DS (2002, '04, '07); 3 LCS (2000, '03, '06)

LF: Jim Joyce -- 6 DS (1995, '98-'99, 2001-'03); 4 LCS (1997, 2004, '06-'07); 2 WS (1999, 2001)

RF: Paul Nauert -- 1 DS (2004)
