Wisconsin Geological Society Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show

Wisconsin Geological Society Greater Milwaukee Area 2016 Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Show Saturday May 14th and Sunday May 15th 2016 from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day. The show will be held indoors at the Muellner Building at Hart Park in Wauwatosa, WI. The Park Entrance is at 72nd and W. State St. Wauwatosa WI. (about 6 miles west of downtown Milwaukee) Admission $3.00, 2 for $5.00, accompanied children under 16 Free. The show features dealers from all over the Midwest who sell lapidary supplies, tools, books, rough material, slabs, finished specimens, cabochons, jewelry, carvings, fossils, and more. Activities for children, exhibits, displays, presentations, and food sales round out the show.

Walk to End Lupus Now (TM) - Milwaukee celebrates 15 years!!

Walk to End Lupus Now™-Milwaukee celebrates 15 years! We are taking steps to raise awareness and funds for our fight against lupus. This is the Wisconsin Chapter’s 2016 flagship event which goes a long way in enabling us to continue our vision as we strive to advance the science and medicine of lupus. Our ultimate goal is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus. Walk Date: Sunday, June 12, 2016 Schedule: • Registration begins at 10:30 AM • Walk begins at 12:00 PM Location: Hart Park, 7300 W Chestnut St, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 Pre-registration: • Runs through Midnight on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 • Cost: Adults $25 & Children (12 & under): $15 Day-of registration: • Cost: Adults $30 & Children (12 & under): $17 • Inside the Muellner Building at the Tosa Room starting at 10:30 AM (We highly recommend coming early) The walk begins and ends in Hart Park with a 1 or 3 mile walk on the Oak Leaf Trail heading west along the Menomonee River Parkway. Following the walk is a snack and entertainment by CLOSE ENUF. The walk offers a chance for lupus patients, their families and friends to come together to raise awareness and funds to fight lupus. Volunteers needed - please call or visit our website for an application.

Tosa Tonight Summer Concert Series

HartFest was started to engage the Wauwatosa community in the spirit of giving to organizations that greatly impact the area. Annually, HartFest creates a fun and family friendly event which draws nearly 10,000 attendees. The HartFest weekend makes the Village of Wauwatosa come alive with events such as a Baggo Tournament, Kids Area, Wauwatosa School of Music performance, Live Entertainment, Skateboard Demonstrations, and a Half Marathon!
