Stuff the Truck for Independence
With support from the Petit National Ice Center, Digital Recycling, and River Run Computers, IndependenceFirst is hosting “Stuff the Truck for Independence”, an eRecycling Drive benefitting people with disabilities on April 18 at the Petit National Ice Center (500 S 84th Street, Milwaukee, WI).
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., come by to donate old electronics such as cell phones, computers, laptops, tablets, appliances, TV’s (small fee for tube TV’s or screens may apply) and computer accessories such as mice, keyboards, etc. Donations will benefit IndependenceFirst, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving people with disabilities in the Greater Milwaukee Area.
By donating, you can help create opportunities for people with disabilities to obtain a computer they otherwise couldn’t afford, develop crucial job pre-skills, gain information, seek jobs or housing and get peer support. The recycling is done by Digital Recycling and the data destruction process for all donated laptops and PC’s will follow strict data theft prevention standards. Also, donating e-waste is environmentally responsible. This Earth Day, take the opportunity to recycle your old electronics and benefit a great cause at the same time!
