One hundred years after Charles Sheldon's historic trek through what would become Denali National Park, Willie Karidis took a hiatus from his job as Executive Director of the Denali Education Center to retrace that trip in the middle of winter. Celebrate the Winter Solstice! Explore Riverside Park by candlelight with a guided walk, accompanied by poetry and readings of the season. After the walk return to the Center to warm yourself by the fire with apple cider, snacks and music by Regina Gallero. Walks leave every 15 minutes beginning at 7 p.m. Music begins at 7:30.
