Victor's Night Club, 1230 N. Van Buren Ave., is for sale. The 5,752-square-foot space went on the market yesterday for $1,900,000. It is listed by real estate agency, Colliers.

"Victor’s has decades of success as a classic local destination. Inclusive in the sale is the real estate, business and all furniture, fixtures and equipment," reads the listing.

We cannot lose, Victor's, guys. There's way too much history here and it's quite possibly the Milwaukee bar scene’s biggest anomaly.

Opened in 1967 by Vic Jones, Sr., the nightclub and restaurant was later taken over by Jones' son, Vic. Jr. The Downtown spot is noted for its robust dance floor, diverse clientele, gargantuan plates of prime rib, fish fries, seafood and homemade desserts and – last but certainly not least – a pick-up spot known for having an abundance of available older women.

“Certainly, we’re known for having ‘cougars’ here,” Jones told OnMilwaukee in 2021. “I think the Marquette guys started it. One still calls me and says, ‘Vic, is there any cougars down there?’”

But back to the issue at hand here: This spot is legendary. Someone's gotta buy this place and keep it rollicking for another 50-plus years. Anyone? Anyone?
