Last month, OnMilwaukee.com reported that a second Hom Wood-fired Grill would open at the Bayshore Town Center in mid-July. It was announced today that the restaurant, owned by the SURG Restaurant Group, will open at the end of July and will feature a new menu that will be unveiled at both the Bayshore and the original Brookfield location.

The new menu will  include Wisconsin-themed dishes including appetizers, soups and salads, as well as a lighter fare menu with sandwiches, hot dishes and skillets.

The light menu items will range from $5 to $15. Entrees will start at $11, and prime steaks and seafood will be offered from $25 to $35.

Hom will also feature traditional Wisconsin weekend specials including a Friday fish fry, prime rib on Saturdays and fried chicken on Sundays.

Both restaurants will focus on Wisconsin ingredients, as well as local spirits and traditions.

"We wanted to create a gathering place that combined the best of living in Wisconsin: including homemade menu items reminiscent of grandma’s cooking, ice-cold local micro brews, as well as honoring our state’s sports and history in Hom’s decor," says Omar Shaikh, SURG co-owner and president.
