After failing Tuesday in their attempt at sweeping the Diamondbacks out of the National League Division Series, the Brewers return to Chase Field tonight for Game 4, up 2-1 in the best-of-five series.

Randy Wolf (13-10, 3.69 ERA) takes the mound for Milwaukee. He went 0-2 against the Diamondbacks in 2011, but is 10-5 lifetime against the NL West champs.

For Arizona, it's lefty Joe Saunders (12-13, 3.69) and accordingly, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke has swapped Nyjer Morgan (.209 vs. LHP) out of the lineup for Carlos Gomez (.278, 6 home runs, 12 RBIs ).

The only other change is George Kottaras for Jonathan Lucroy, which is common when Wolf starts.

Brewers: Joe Sauders starts strong, getting Corey Hart to strike out swinging. Jerry Hairston gets the Brewers' first hit on a single up the middle. Ryan Braun doubles to the wall in center, scoring Hairston and giving Milwaukee an early 1-0 lead. On ball four to Prince Fielder, Braun steals third, putting runners at the corners with nobody out. Diamondbacks: Willie Bloomquist leads off with a base hit to center – his sixth hit hit of the series. Aaron Hill pops out to Fielder in foul territory for the first out. Justin Upton draws a walk, moving Bloomquist to second. He advances to third when Miguel Montero singles, loading the bases with one out. Paul Goldschmidt, who hit a grand slam in Game 3, looked at strike three. Ryan Roberts does what Goldschmidt couldn't, and his grand slam to left gives Arizona a 4-1 lead. Chris Young follows with a solo home run to left-center. Gerardo Parra grounds out to second to end the inning. Totals – 5 runs, 4 hits, 0 LOB; Diamondbacks 5, Brewers 1.

SECOND INNING

Brewers: Yuniesky Betancourt leads off with a double to the wall in center. He advances to third on a long fly ball to center by Carlos Gomez, caught by Young for the first out. Betancourt scores on George Kottaras' ground out and Randy Wolf ends the inning on a grounder of his own. Totals – 1 run, 1 hit, 1 LOB; ; Diamondbacks 5, Brewers 2.

Diamondbacks: Wolf walks his counterpart, Joe Saunders, to open the inning. Wolf gets Bloomquist to ground into a double play, clearing the bases. Hill singles to left. THIRD INNING

Brewers: Hart opens the inning with a single up the middle and scores on Hairston's double to left. Braun walks. The runners hold on Fielder's pop up to center. Weeks flies out to Upton. Betancourt pops out to second. Totals – 1 run, 2 hits, 2 LOB; Diamondbacks 5, Brewers 3.

Diamondbacks: Surprise, surprise: Goldschmidt, opening the inning, singles to center. He steals second with Roberts batting. Wolf strikes out Roberts, who chases a high fastball for strike three. A long at-bat for Young, who draws a walk putting two on with one out. The runners advance on Parra's grounder to Fielder. Saunders' day comes to an end as Arizona manager Kirk Gibson decides to send in Collin Cowgill to hit for his starting pitcher. The move pays off as Cowgill comes through with a two-run single to left. The inning ends on Bloomquist's pop fly to center. Totals – 2 runs, 2 hits, 1 LOB; Diamondbacks 7, Brewers 3.

FOURTH INNING

Brewers: Micah Owings in to pitch for Arizona. Gomez chops one up the middle for a base hit. Kottaras flies out to left but Gomez holds at first. Taylor Green comes on to pinch-hit for Wolf. Gomez steals second and advances to third on Green's ground out to second. On the first offering from Owings, Hart pops up to second, ending the inning. Totals – 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 LOB; Diamondbacks 7, Brewers 3.

Diamondbacks: Marco Estrada comes on in relief of Wolf. Hill hits a long fly to left, but Braun makes the catch on the warning track. Upton strikes out swinging. Montero doubles to right. Goldschmidt singles to right. Estrada escapes any damage, getting Roberts to fly out to center. Totals – 0 runs, 2 hits, 2 LOB; Diamondbacks 7, Brewers 3.

FIFTH INNING

Brewers: Hairston grounds out to Bloomquist. Braun hits a long fly to center which Young grabs with his foot on the track. Fielder steps in to the usual chorus of boos, thanks to his All-Star snub of Upton, but doubles into the right field corner. Weeks pops out to third. He's not had a good series. Diamondbacks: Estrada strikes out Young and Parra to open the inning. Owings stays in the game to hit for himself, but grounds out to third. Totals – 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 LOB; Diamondbacks 7, Brewers 3.

SIXTH INNING

Brewers: Jarrod Parker, making just his second big league appearance, takes over for Owings. Betancourt's chopper bounces off the glove of Roberts for a leadoff single. Gomez puts down a bunt but his headfirst slide is just a second too late. Betancourt moves to second on the sacrifice. Kottaras walks. Casey McGehee pinch-hits for Estrada and singles to left, loading the bases. That snaps an 0-for-17 slump with runners in scoring position. Parker gives way to Bryan Shaw. Hart hits a long sacrifice to left center but Parra makes the catch at the wall. Still, it scores Betancourt and makes it a three-run game.
