Time flies when you’re having fun. And such is the case for 3 Sheeps Brewing Co., which will celebrate its sixth year with an anniversary celebration.
The event will take place beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at its Taproom & Barrel Warehouse,1837 North Ave. And it will include beer (of course), delicious food and plenty of live music.
"The past number of years have been a whirlwind," notes 3 Sheeps founder and brewmaster Grant Pauly. "We relocated, built a taproom, moved into a new production facility, and went through a major rebranding. This is really the first year we feel like we’re really running a brewery and focusing on the actual beer."
It’s a milestone moment for the brewery, which has built its brand on brewing "with heart and science." And fans will see more innovation from Pauly and his crew moving forward, including more experimentation with barrel aging, including the addition of barrel-aged flavors from bourbon, rye, chardonnay, rum, tequila and Scotch casks. They will also be giving their new two-barrel pilot system a good workout, producing a plethora of experimental brews to share with taproom guests.
In the meantime, it’s time to celebrate.
During the anniversary party, which will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., guests can enjoy any number of 21 taps including Water Slides IPA, Fresh Coast Juicy Pale Ale, Rebel Kent Amber, First Kiss Imperial IPA, Three Sheeps Pils and Cashmere Hammer Nitro Stout as well as a variety of seasonal and cellared options.
As a special treat, barrel-aged versions of both Paid Time Off (an Imperial Stout brewed with toasted coconut, walnuts and cocoa nibs) and Uber Joe (an Imperial stout brewed with Colectivo coffee, cocoa nibs and vanilla) will be available exclusively at the taproom for $15 per bottle. Quantities are limited and will be first come, first served with a limit of three bottles per person.
And just in case you need a little something to enjoy with your beer, there will also be food from a variety of area restaurants and food trucks including BoMallies, Luz De Luna, Parker John’s BBQ & Pizza and Pork in the Road Mobile Rotisserie and Outdoor Catering.
There will also be live music from The Abler Boys of Elkhart Lake, and The Plutoniates and Buffalo Gospel of Milwaukee.
