It’s as important as ever to support the amazing collection of local restaurants that we have in our beautiful city. And there’s no better way to do so than committing to patronize them throughout the year. To guide you on your journey, I’ve composed a list of 52 amazing restaurants. Try just one of these every week and you’ll have visited them all by the end of 2024.  View the full list OR download an abbreviated printable PDF file for your fridge or wallet.

I’ve saved up one of the city’s most treasured gems for this celebratory time of year. After all, few spots are more qualified to give you a taste of the Old World than Three Brothers.

To dine at this iconic restaurant is both a cultural pursuit and a pleasure. Located inside of a former Schlitz tied house, this James Beard Award-winning eatery offers an ambiance that embraces both the charms of the old world and the hospitality you might find in someone’s private home.

On the menu, you’ll find specialties like fresh Serbian salad with tomatoes and peppers;  flakey burek filled with cheese and spinach (allow about an hour for preparation); goulash served with traditional Serbian dumplings; cevapcici (sausages); and roasted lamb. Every dish is made from scratch and served with heart. It's worthwhile to save room for desserts like housemade strudel or filled Serbian crepes.

Should you choose to close out your year at Three Brothers, the restaurant will be open for dinner service on New Year's Eve. Their full menu will be available as well as dinner and dessert specials. Reservations are requested and can be made by phone.
