88Nine RadioMilwaukee will spend summer 2008 hyping Milwaukee's neighborhoods this summer with its "Summer Passport" promotion.

The event highlights more than two dozen events in Milwaukee's neighborhoods and parks and will include a printed passport to assist listeners in their Brew City travels.Passports can be stamped at each event and allow listeners the chance to win a number of prizes at the end of the season.

Among those prizes are four round-trip tickets to Milwaukee and, what the station calls, "a maxed-out weekend for family or friends right here in Milwaukee." It's a great way to show off the city's charms to your out-of-town friends or family.

“Milwaukee ’s neighborhood festivals are among the city’s universally loved features,” says Mikel Ellcessor, RadioMilwaukee ’s executive director. “They’re something everyone loves and after the long winter, Milwaukeeans are especially ready to get out and enjoy the city together. RadioMilwaukee’s Summer Passport is a guide, a roadmap and, with the great prizes, a real incentive to get out and explore Milwaukee . We’re going to feature some of the city’s best summer events, many of which aren’t as well known as they deserve to be.”

Summer Passports will be available at RadioMilwaukee’s booths all summer at the events along the route. Check out the station's Web site for specifics.
