88Nine Radio Milwaukee announced today that it is the newest affiliate for VuHaus, a nationwide music discovery video platform for public media.

The platform, a network of public media organizations that share the mission of supporting emerging and local artists, allows public media stations to showcase their music video content at VuHaus' website – and, in 88Nine's case in particular, on the new locally-curated Milwaukee page. 88Nine will be sharing past and future videos of both the local and national acts that hit its performance space, aided by the venue's newly installed remote video cameras.

"We're excited about this new partnership with VuHaus as it offers a new opportunity to get Milwaukee musicians on a bigger platform with a national audience," said Jordan Lee, programming director at Radio Milwaukee, in a press release. "The video platform is an important focus for us as it allows our listeners to build a deeper connection with new and emerging artists."

"Radio Milwaukee is an original pubradio Music Discovery station and a recognized format leader," said Mike Henry, brand manager at VuHaus, in a statement. "Their impact on Milwaukee’s local music scene, cultural scene and even in bridging gaps across communities is well-known. VuHaus is honored to have Radio Milwaukee join public media's new music discovery platform."

88Nine joins VuHaus in the midst of live-streaming from the 2017 NON-COMMvention in Philadelphia, running from May 17-19 and featuring performers like Blondie, the Pixies, Chicano Batman, Mondo Cozmo and more. Watch the live-stream at RadioMilwaukee.org or VuHaus.com.
