WOKY (AM 920), which has been playing Top 40 hits from the 1960's and `70's, undergoes a format change at 6 a.m. Thursday. The station will be known as "AM 920 The Wolf," a classic country operation featuring artists like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and 1980s artists like Anne Murray, Ronnie Milsap and the Oak Ridge Boys.

"It's an exciting time for country music fans in Milwaukee and all over southeastern Wisconsin," Clear Channel Milwaukee operations manager Kerry Wolfe said. "There is so much great country music that's been recorded through the years and now we'll be able to showcase it all."

Gregory Jon, the program director at WOKY, will work the morning shift, with Mark Richards on middays and Mitch Morgan in the afternoon.

Clear Channel Radio Milwaukee also owns and operates AM 920 The Wolf's sister station, FM 106.1 WMIL.
