Museum-goers will get a behind-the-scenes look into their favorite Milwaukee Public Museum exhibits this summer as the MPM launches "The Inside Story," a special event series that gives insight into the creations of some of the museum's most popular exhibits.

Visitors can learn about the exhibits from their artists and curators at three different events, held one Wednesday per month from 7 to 9 p.m.

Each event features secrets of the museum world, plus some of the unique speedbumps the museum staff runs into while creating these total-habitat dioramas.

"The Inside Story" will feature the Rain Forest exhibit June 15, The Third Planet exhibit July 13 and Africa Aug. 17.

Admission to "The Inside Story" events is $10, which includes themed light dinner fare and cupcakes provided by the Milwaukee Cupcake Company. A cash bar will also be available.
