This Friday, Made in Milwaukee is hosting the fantastic Bay View Gallery Night that is basically taking over the entire neighborhood for the evening.
Many of the venues will not only host hangings of art and photos, but they will have live art and/or live music bolstering the creative depth of the night. Going through the list presents a veritable "who's who" of the Milwaukee art community, in addition to some of MKE's best bands, for the curious.
Events like this are great for the community because they get people outside of their homes and into places that they may or may not have visited before. I highly recommend checking out several of the venues on Friday.

Born in Milwaukee and raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Brown Deer, Concordia University Wisconsin alumnus Poppe has spent the majority of his life in or around the city and county of Milwaukee.
As an advocate of Milwaukee's hip-hop community Poppe began popular local music blog Milwaukee UP in March 2010. Check out the archived entries here.
Though heavy on the hip-hop, Poppe writes about other genres of music and occasionally about food, culture or sports, and is always ready to show his pride in Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
