Rapper Big Caption has been around for several years.

I first learned of him in 2008 or 2009 when he performed at a Miltown Beat Down event, and outside of thinking he was talented, I and my partner-in-crime Jank One kept laughing because we thought he was trying to look like an urban Justin Timberlake.

We had both been drinking, and if you were around us at those battles, you know that we drank a lot! We were harmless, I think, and no offense was meant. We were, and still are, pretty silly people.

Nevertheless, I came across Big Caption again while running the independent version of Milwaukee UP through a mixtape release.

I was happy with the quality of his bars but desperately wanted to hear him over original beats instead of industry standards.

He told me that a project of original work was under way, but it never came.

Fast forward to a few days ago and his latest release, a new mixtape called "Big Caption B*tch."

Once again the talented rapper took on industry beats instead of farming in some production and the project was difficult to listen to from the very beginning.

I'm not the most imaginative person in the world so being able to separate the original song from the re-worked track that Big Caption put forth was nearly impossible for me.

With every track I felt that he also took on too much of the vibe of the existing song in either theme or flow.

For those who are really into mixtapes of this style, I'm sure that will really enjoy "Big Caption B*tch."

Once again, I am here to make my case to Big Caption publicly to put together an album of beats original to him, so that he as a lyricist and rapper can truly shine. He's dope and he deserves some undivided attention.

Here is the stream of his new mixtape.
