I am typically not a fan of songs that pair previously released beats with new lyrics, a ploy that's very popular in the modern mixtape circuit.

However, when an artist that you respect decides to rhyme over the beat of one of your favorite producers of all time, it's worth checking it out.

Klassik is the artist, and the late Jay Dee – also known as J Dilla, Dilla and Dilla Dog – is the producer of the latest mash-up that's grabbed my attention.

Borrowing the track "African Rhythms" from Dilla's legendary release "Welcome 2 Detroit," Klassik takes the time to testify about his ability to make good music. In fact, the track is titled "GoodMusic."

Frequent collaborator ¡OYE! directed the video for the song. The song can also be directed for free right here.
