As a person who recently co-hosted a spelling bee for adults only, I find this event – how do we say it with made-up words? – on fleek.
This Saturday, April 9, everyone at least 21 years old is invited to seach Lake Park for hundreds of colorful eggs. The fun takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the Lake Park band shelter, 2975 N. Lake Park Road.
The cost of tickets is $25 and are available here. This event is a fundraiser for Hunger Task Force, so participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. (Peanut butter is always a great donation.)
Guests should also bring their own basket or "basket" to collect the eggs. Prizes worth up to $100 will be awarded to the person with the most creative "basket" and most creative costume.
Adult beverages and snacks will be provided.
The Adults Only Easter Egg Hunt is organized by Wakefield MKE. Jessica Thomm and Elizabeth Foster founded the local business in 2017.
"We want to offer something fun that will make people feel like kids again," says Thomm. "I haven’t been invited to an egg hunt since I was a child, and I’m looking forward to recreating that level of excitement this weekend."
