Maybe your high school homecoming dance was a flop, or maybe you just want to get dressed up and dance.

Either way, “A Night Under the Stars” at Lost Whale, 2151 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening of elegance at your favorite neighborhood hang-out.

The adult homecoming festivities will take place on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and will feature a patio dance party led by DJ Josia McLean, plenty of cleverly named cocktails and a festively cheesy atmosphere complete with disco balls, star-shaped balloons and a step and repeat so you can capture all the best moments for posterity.

So put on your spiffiest dancing gear, grab a corsage and prepare to relive the jittery feelings you got while dancing with your high school sweetheart and the adrenaline rush that comes with showing off your craziest dance moves.

Despite what you may have heard, admission to the event is free. But you should really dress up for the occasion. After all, it would be a major bummer if you didn’t.

You should also keep your eyes on  @LostWhaleMKE on Instagram. Rumor has it they might be hosting some pretty crazy pre-homecoming theme days leading up to the magical event.
