{image1}Seems WKTI did the best job promoting the new 2005 OnMilwaukee.com People's Choice Awards.

March of Dimes officials announced the results of the overwhelmingly popular first-ever 2005 OnMilwaukee.com People's Choice Awards on Thursday night at the A.I.R. Awards. The contest drew more than 5,000 survey participants during the course of a three-week promotional period.

The 2005 OnMilwaukee.com People's Choice Award provided Milwaukee radio listeners an opportunity to vote for their favorite station, morning show, afternoon drive show, talk show and radio personality. The online survey was promoted through OMC and by individual stations on their web sites and airwaves.

The contest results were revealed at the 2005 A.I.R. Awards ceremony held at Potawatomi's Northern Lights Theater. The A.I.R. Awards is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in radio. A.I.R. Award entries are judged by an outside market and are not impacted by the results of the OnMilwaukee.com People's Choice Award.
