Shock rock icon and famed "Mill-e-wah-que" spokesman Alice Cooper will return to Cream City this summer to headline the Wisconsin State Fair on Friday, Aug. 3.
Ever since bursting onto the music scene in the 1960s, Cooper has served as one of the most legendary performers in the history of rock 'n' roll, bringing an iconic theatrical flair to his stage shows. His music is just as memorable as his live performances, including "School's Out," "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Feed My Frankenstein" and more.
Cooper's bombastic songs and shows earned his band a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, as well as a permanent place in pop culture, appearing in movies and TV shows like "The Muppet Show," "Prince of Darkness," "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" and – of course – "Wayne's World."
The rocker was last in Milwaukee in 2016, hitting both Summerfest, along with his superstar cover band Hollywood Vampires, and the Miller High Life Theatre (then the Milwaukee Theatre) with his regular group of rockers later that fall. He also landed in Wisconsin just last year for a show in Appleton – as well as to hit the links at Tripoli Country Club beforehand.
Tickets for Cooper's "A Paranormal Evening" tour will go on sale beginning Friday, March 16, at 9 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website, the State Fair box office and over the phone at (800) 514-3849. Tickets will cost $35 and $45.
Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more State Fair and summer festival season announcements as they become available.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
