There's been a lot of confusion about what Amazon is delivering, and this is likely to change, but as of today – Monday, March 30 – here's the deal according to Amazon's blog.

In short, Amazon continues to prioritize essential items like household staples, sanitizers, baby formula and medical supplies, but still cannot guarantee a particular timeframe for delivery.

Also, to meet the high demand of orders during this pandemic, Amazon continues to hire workers for full and part-time positions across the U.S. in their fulfillment centers and delivery network. These jobs pay at least $17 an hour and you can find out more by clicking here.

Here is the status of orders for now:

• For the short term, Amazon is prioritizing household staples, medical supplies and other high-demand products coming into fulfillment centers so they can more quickly receive, restock and ship these products to customers. All orders are being accepted by Amazon, but the wait time will depend on the criticalness of the item and the availability of it.
• Check when your item is coming from: an Amazon store vs. a third party. Usually, it is faster to get products directly from Amazon, but due to the pandemic, it might be faster to buy from a third party because the items won't be held up in Amazon's already overloaded Facility Centers.
• Amazon is asking customers who do not need their products immediately to choose "No-Rush Shipping" in order to serve customers with critical needs first.
• Amazon is also working to block or remove any vendors who are inflating prices on highly coveted items. Customers can report a seller if they believe they are violating the seller policy / price gauging by clicking here.
• Prime Now, Amazon Fresh, and Whole Foods Market delivery customers always have the option to select "unattended delivery" during checkout if they prefer not to come into contact with others. Orders not containing alcohol are eligible for unattended delivery, and will be left in a location specified by the customer.
