America SCORES Milwaukee, the community outreach program of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club, announced its 2017-19 Advisory Board of Directors on Tuesday.
An affiliate of the national network that operates in 14 cities across the country, America SCORES Milwaukee offers afterschool-soccer programming to underprivileged kids in the area. Integrated with creative writing and community service components, SCORES provides high-quality youth development for the children of Milwaukee’s central city.
The Milwaukee affiliate comprises 18 Advisory Board of Directors from an array of local entities.
"Through a combination of tenured and new board members, we are fortunate to have a determined and motivated mix of diverse individuals working together for the life-changing benefit of our community’s children," said America SCORES Milwaukee Executive Director Kate Carpenter. "Each board member will serve for two years and is uniquely qualified and wholeheartedly committed to expanding our outstanding program’s reach, as well as to further reinforce its positive and profound impact on our city."
