Casey James' run at the "American Idol" crown ended a few weeks later than it should have with tonight's results.
The 27-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, was a decent singer. But he never seemed to work very hard at his singing, relying rather on his looks to bring in female viewers / voters.
That leaves Crystal Bowersox, of Elliston, Ohio, and Lee DeWyze, of Mount Prospect, Ill., in the expected final matchup next week.
Bowersox has been a favorite since the beginning of the competition, and DeWyze has developed over the weeks. The two 24-year-olds also performed one of the strongest duets in "Idol" memory last week.
