Remember the mania that surrounded Danny Gokey's climb to the top of "American Idol?"

Get ready for a sequel of sorts.

Ryan Seacrest, host of the FOX show, revealed via his Twitter account that Milwaukee will be one of the audition cities for the next season of "Idol." Other cities include Nashville, New Orleans, East Rutherford, N.J., Austin and San Francisco.

Secreast's complete Tweet:

"Just got audition cities for @americanidol 10: Nashville, Milwaukee, New Orleans, E. Rutherford, Austin & S.F. Tmrw announcing a big change!"

In previous years, each host city held two days of auditions. Only a few hundred people -- out of thousands -- were selected to audition before producers in each city. From that group, between 10 and 40 contestants are selected to move on to the next round in Hollywood.

In 2009, Milwaukee native Gokey finished third in the competition. He'll appear in concert July 4 at Summerfest.

Stay tuned for details. And, be ready to perform for the judges.
