Anthony's On Jefferson, described as a "warm and comfortable lounge" on its Facebook page, recently opened at 185 N. Jefferson St.

Rich D'Acquisto and fiance Gina Marie Emanuele co-own the bar. D'Acquisto has been in the bar industry for 20 years and also worked as a musician with a variety of national country acts.

Anthony's, located in the former Hilo Martini Lounge  space, is open Tuesday-Sunday and focuses on live music. Right now, bands play on the weekends, but soon,  D'Acquisto plans to have live music five nights a week.

"It's really set up well for entertainment," says D'Acquisto. "I have a lot of respect for music and musicians. And it's a very relaxing atmosphere."
