Chicago has five Apple Stores, and according to unofficial Mac and Apple Web sites Milwaukee could soon get its second store, which would be located at Bayshore.
Macrumors.com says, "According to lease records, Apple will be among the tenants when the mall opens in time for this year's holiday shopping season. The mall is about 8 miles north of Milwaukee, and also about 8 miles from the existing Mayfair in Wauwatosa, a western Milwaukee suburb."
IfoAppleStore.com, a site touting Mac store rumors, upgrades and nearly everything you ever -- and never -- wanted to know about the stores says that Apple will open a Bayshore location in November 2006.
Steiner & Associates, the developer of Bayshore, declined to comment on speculation that an Apple Store will be part of the new development. A spokesman for the developer indicated negotiations continue to take place with a number of nationally recognized retailers and restaurant operators.
