In just two short years, the four-day music extravaganza Arte Para Todos – meaning "art for everyone" – has become one of Milwaukee's biggest local music gatherings, spread across multiple neighborhoods and dozens of venues. And headed into its third year, the festival seems to have only gotten bigger and better.
Today, the event released its official schedule, featuring almost 100 performers playing across more than 20 locations. It's an immense amount of almost exclusively Milwaukee-bred talent scattered across the city and throughout a long weekend – all for an immensely important mission.
More than just an incredible local music showcase for acts large and small, Arte Para Todos gathers all of this together to help the next generations of artists, musicians and creators, with 100% of the ticket sales going toward Milwaukee public school arts programs (including, but certainly not limited to, Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. K-8, both Turnaround Arts schools attempting to transform schools for the better through the arts).
It's a terrific cause – complete with a terrific live local soundtrack. Here's where to buy tickets, and here's the lineup:

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
