We got several questions last night about the new "B4N CU17" lights on the side of one of Northwestern Mutual's buildings in Downtown Milwaukee.
So, we asked around.
John Gardner at Northwestern Mutual says, "All this week, we’re lighting up one side of the building with B4N CU17 – text language for 'Bye for now, see you in 2017.'
"It’s essentially the east building saying goodbye to Milwaukee. Deconstruction of the building is underway, and as you know, the building is being deconstructed to make way for the Northwestern Mutual Tower & Commons that will be completed in 2017," said Gardner.
The new Northwestern Mutual Tower and Commons will replace the company's current east office building, will be 32 stories high with curved glass panels arcing southeast toward Lake Michigan.
