I'm not sure how much more decadent dessert can get.

Typically, in themselves, cupcakes are rich chocolate topped with thick, creamy frosting. But to then add bacon? It's like coupling two guilty pleasures, one surely as addicting as the next.

The Cupcake Queen of Milwaukee, Sandy Ploy, bakes a signature chocolate bacon cupcake, a flavor combination garnering national attention and local praise in the cupcake world.

I'd heard and read of such a cupcake but had never tried it until this morning when Ploy dropped by the office to share these
morsels of iniquity with the OnMilwaukee.com staff.

A chocolate cupcake served with bacon three ways. Yes, pieces of bacon inside the cupcake, on top of the cupcake and bacon fat replacing a portion of the oil in the batter. It's a textural combination hitting the ultimate level of sweet and savory.
