The world's greatest side and topping will become the main course later this month, as 102.9 The HOG's 11th annual Baconfest Milwaukee will get sizzling at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on Sunday, Feb. 26.
Hosted at the events center from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Baconfest is a celebration of all crispy, fatty, bacon-y goodness – complete with 900 pounds of bacon provided by presenting sponsor Farmland. That immense pile of pork will be cooked and utilized by more than 30 local restaurants and area establishments, each serving up their most creative and carnivor-ific bacon bonanzas. And since Baconfest is an official World Food Championships qualifying event, some of those locales will cooking not just to sate stomachs but also to score a coveted place at the Bacon World Food Championship in November.
And in case all that bacon bliss wasn't enough entertainment, 102.9 The HOG personalities Bob & Brian, Mindy Novotny, and Borna and Mandy from The Afternoon Program will all be in attendance as well.
Tickets for Baconfest – complete with a Potawatomi Fire Keeper's Club reward play certificate, Baconfest gear and, of course, access to bite upon bite of bacon – are available now at the event's website. Tickets range from $35 for either session to $50 for VIP early access to a session.
