Grab a designated driver and dive in!

Join OnMilwaukee’s sixth annual Bartender Games (formerly the Bartender Olympics) at Turner Hall Ballroom on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. Emceed by FM 102.1’s Jon Adler, the new and improved Bartender Games will see the return of past participants who will battle it out against new competitors.

The games include a signature cocktail contest and tasting where the winner will be chosen by you, plus the popular Pabst can stack, a talent competition and the always decisive karaoke competition.

Also, enjoy sampling new Red Bull flavors and, for one night only, vaping/e-cigarettes will be allowed. Try a sample in the Johnson Creek Smoke Juice lounge.

The Rookies team will go for the gold, with Jason Burczyk from Boone & Crockett, Roland Flasch of Rumor Upbeat Lounge, Katie Kay of Black Sheep, The Tin Widow and Bad Genie Rock Lounge and Dano Schultz from Silk Exotic.

OnMilwaukee.com: What’s the craziest thing you’ve witnessed in your bar?

Katie Kay: A drunk girl stood on top of the bar, exposed her bare chest and then fell backwards on the rails which sliced up her entire back into shreds. She didn’t even flinch, just stood up and collected her round of applause.

OMC: What’s your favorite Milwaukee bar to hang out in, other than the one where you work?

Dano Schultz: Lucky Joe’s.

Jason Burczyk: Hotel Foster. But that’s a hotel, I think.

OMC: What's your favorite brunch spot?

Roland Flasch: Red Dot.

KK: The Noble.

DS: My kitchen.

OMC: If you could open a bar, what kind of bar would it be?

RF: A corner bar. Something with live music.

KK: Definitely a corner bar with a sweet metal jukebox and where the whiskey will always flow like water.

OMC: Who are some of your favorite bartenders to visit in Milwaukee?

DS: Lee Guk, Sam Berman, Nate Showers.

OMC: What's your favorite bar patio?

RF: Rogues Gallery.

KK: Judgment Corner – aka The Nomad.
