"Bar Month" at is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun articles on bars and clubs -- including guides, the latest trends, bartender profiles and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

Well, not you. Unless, of course, you're one of the 10 Milwaukee bartenders competing in tonight's Bartender Olympics at Whiskey Bar, 778 N. Jefferson St.

People tell me I'm too judgmental, anyway, so this should be right in my wheel house.

But seriously, this is going to be a fun event, and I hope you'll join me. It's free and it runs until about 10 p.m. I judged last year, too, and with our friends Kramp, Adler and Jen Lada on board, and Cecilia Gilbert (the City's "Queen" of all things Downtown) I expect lots of laughs. My colleague, Molly Snyder, is keeping score.

Just check out these four categories: the Pabst can stack, the talent competition, a timed drink order competition and a recipe contest.
Bartenders include Pete Marshall (Milwaukee Brat House), Alisha Olson (Jo Cats), Danny Benavante (Bel Air Cantina), Nikki Fountaine (Brewski's), Shenna Barrette (Blackthorn Pib), Nicky Rev (Cafe Lulu), Joe Vella (Paulie's Pub), Scott Sloan (Kenadee's) and returning champ Matty Gonzales (Sabbatic).

Hope to see you tonight!
