Last summer, OnMilwaukee got to go behind the scenes as PBS's "Ask This Old House" dropped into Bay View for the likely most exciting plumbing visit in the neighborhood's history, filming one of two Milwaukee-based segments for the long-running Boston-based home improvement show. And while the Nagle family has known the results for a little over half a year at this point, audiences will finally be able to see the final product for themselves beginning this month.

The show's producers recently announced that the segment – a portion of episode #1611 – will hit airwaves this month, starting on Thursday, Jan. 18. Each PBS station nationwide, however, sets its own broadcast schedule, and according to Milwaukee PBS's website, the episode will first show on local screens on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 9 a.m. on channel 10.2. The episode will air several more times as well on PBS's stations on 10.2 and 36.1, including:

• Sunday, Jan. 21, at both 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on channel 10.2
• Monday, Jan. 22, at 3 a.m. on channel 10.2
• Wednesday, Jan. 24, at both 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on channel 10.2
• Thursday, Jan. 25, at 3 a.m. on channel 10.2
• Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4:30 p.m. on channel 36.1

To check your specific local listings for additional air times, visit the official "This Old House" website and enter your zip code into its TV schedule. And if you happen to miss all of those times, five days after its official premiere date on Thursday, Jan. 18, the episode will be available to watch online. 

During this particular episode, general contractor and star Tom Silva shows some techniques for cutting straight edges with a circular saw and expert mason Mark McCullough rebuilding a retaining wall. But Milwaukee's big starring role comes when plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey heads down South Vermont Avenue to "the whale house" (nicknamed for its prominent whale weather vane) to install an instantaneous water heater in the Nagles' home.

"It's been 15 years since we've been back in Milwaukee," senior producer and director Heath Racela told OnMilwaukee during filming last June. "We were here in the very first season of 'Ask This Old House,' and we hadn't been back. And we realized that this year and decided to correct that. We're sorry to everyone out there that it took us this long!"
