Six notable local chefs and six breweries will be coming together at Bay View’s newest beer garden to host a fundraiser supporting the work of the Bay View Community Center’s Emergency Food Pantry, a growing initiative that aims to alleviate food insecurity in the community.

The dinner will take place at The Exchange at Zillman Park, 2168 S. Kinickinnic Ave. on Sunday, July 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. 

Guests will be treated to an al fresco summer dinner with tented seating and six inspired courses from local chefs.

Each course will be paired with a beer from participating Bay View breweries including: 1840 Brewing Co., Component Brewing Co., Enlightened Brewing Co., New Barons Brewing Cooperative, Supermoon Beer Co. and Torzala Brewing Co.  Guests who would prefer can also opt for wine pairings (or NA option)

The menu: 

  • Chef AJ Dixon of the Bay View Community Center
    Deviled Egg: pimento cheese, fresh ham
  • Chef John Levine of Coco's Seafood & Steakhouse
    Pork Tostada: caramelized pineapple, pickled serrano, roma tomato, red onion, cilantro, IPA-braised pork shoulder, corn elote  and serrano crema
  • Chef Kevin Bauman of Halverson House
    Rillette: charred pork belly rillette with cherry and tellicherry pepper gastrique; pear, pickled fresno and komatsuna salad
  • Chef Suzzette Metcafle of The Pasta Tree
    Cannelloni: porchetta stuffed cannelloni with artichoke hearts sundried tomatoes, fennel & basil with tomato cream sauce
  • Chef Gregory León of Amilinda
    Francesinha: pulled pork and Serrano ham sandwich with Queijo São Jorge cheese sauce, beer and tomato sauce and shoestring potatoes
  • Chef John Manyo of Morel
    Braunschweiger: pickled mustard seed, blueberry agrodolce, toast & arugula
  • Chefs Kurt and Katie Fogle of Dairyland
    Dark chocolate frozen custard with pretzel praline, marshmallow fluff and salted caramel

Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased online. Each ticket includes six courses and beverage pairings. All proceeds from the dinner will support Bay View Community Center’s Emergency Food Pantry service.
