Hot off announcing the arrival of ACX Cinemas to the former iPic space, Bayshore isn't done making additions as it announced today that indoor children's entertainment zone Kids Empire will move its first Wisconsin location into the town center.

The indoor playground chain – with more than two dozen other locations nationwide – will plant its flag at 5794 N. Bayshore Drive, east of The Cheesecake Factory.

Like a variation on Chuck E. Cheese (minus the creepy animatronic band), Kids Empire is an indoor screen-free play space with large playgrounds for kids of all ages featuring mazes, climbing walls, slides, rides, games, ball pits and other engaging obstacles. The indoor entertainment center chain also serves as a popular birthday party spot, hosting reservations complete with food and drink – with the Bayshore location expected to partner with local pizzerias, bakers and caterers for its options.

“We are thrilled to bring Kids Empire to Bayshore and provide fun interactive activities for families while they make new memories,” said Mary Mokwa, senior general manager of Bayshore, in a release.

The new Kids Empire is slated to open in summer of 2023. For more updates, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
