Are your old books collecting dust on the shelves? Looking for some new lit to add to your anthology? OnMilwaukee.com has your answer.

Bring your old books to Humboldt Park and join our Intern Team as they host the Bay View Bookswap Sunday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can swap out your used books for others donated by Boswell Books and brought in by other swappers, plus get automatically entered to win a free e-Reader.

Participants can take one book for every two donated, and can also buy books for just $1 apiece if you don't have anything to trade (or find an absolute must-have).

The Bookswap also boasts a great entertainment lineup, featuring live music from Keanen Kopplin at 11 a.m. and Tony Memmel at 1 p.m., paper-making workshops from the Urban Ecology Center, book discussions with Broad Vocabulary, kid-friendly activities and story times, the Living Photo Booth Project and board and lawn games – including giant human checkers.

So drop by, bring your books and enjoy a day in the park. You've got nothing to lose but those old paperbacks.

Renee Lorenz Special to OnMilwaukee.com

Contrary to her natural state of being, Renee Lorenz is a total optimist when it comes to Milwaukee. Since beginning her career with OnMilwaukee.com, her occasional forays into the awesomeness that is the Brew City have turned into an overwhelming desire to discover anything and everything that's new, fun or just ... "different."

Expect her random musings to cover both the new and "new-to-her" aspects of Miltown goings-on, in addition to periodically straying completely off-topic, which usually manifests itself in the form of an obscure movie reference.
