Kopp’s Frozen Custard

Best Milwaukee Institution is meant to reveal your most beloved Brew City tradition, and there was everything from Mazo’s to Ma Fischer’s, Jake’s Deli to Polonez.

But you overwhelmingly selected Kopp’s Frozen Custard as your favorite, with nearly a third of all votes went to this custard and burgers landmark. Leon’s – whose founder, Leon Schneider, helped Kopp’s founder Elsa Kopp get her stand up and running in 1950 – finished second.
