It's time for Dining Month, presented by Deer District and its spooky Halloween-themed alter ego, Fear District. Throughout the month of October, we'll be serving up fun and fascinating content about all things food. The signature dish, however, is our 2019 Best of Dining poll, who's winners we will dish out all month long. Get hungry, Milwaukee!

La Merenda

For the fourth year in a row, this Walker's Point gem has won over your hearts, minds and stomachs to be called the best small plates restaurant in Milwaukee.  Odd Duck gave La Merenda a run for their money this year, but last year's winner stayed on top yet again.

Featuring small dishes with big flavors, ranging from patatas bravas from Spain to butter chicken from India, the menu has something for anyone and everyone. The restaurant's dedication to local, seasonal fare brings new diners in and keeps fans coming back – as does its quaint location with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Odd Duck put up a strong fight and earned second place for its troubles, while Snack Boys scored a bronze medal (not to mention Lori Fredrich's pick) to put on the walls of its upcoming new East Side location. Story Hill BKC and Balzac rounded out the rest of the top five.
