For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

"Food Wars" may have picked AJ Bombers over Sobleman's, but the readers of OnMilwaukee.com handed Sobleman's a runaway victory – by a 27 percent margin – for Milwaukee's best burger.

Sobleman's won last year, too, but it wasn't quite this big of a blowout.
What makes our readers like Sobleman's so much? Is it the delicious bun on which the burger is served? Is it the funky, former Schlitz tavern location on St. Paul that inspires Marquette students to visit? Or is it the fresh, not frozen, Black Angus beef? Maybe it's a little of each.

Sobleman's is no longer the new kid on the block, but their big burgers continue to delight. When you visit, tell Dave and Melanie we say hi.

For our editors' pick, we chose Oscar's, 1712 W. Pierce St. Their Big "O" burger is nothing short of a masterpiece.
