For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

Once again, Honeypie secured the sweet spot in the category of best desserts. Le Reve came in second and is also the pick of the OnMilwaukee.com's editors.

There are plenty of things to like about Honeypie, the Bay View restaurant owned and operated by the same folks that have done great things with Comet Cafe, Palomino and Fuel.

The eatery offers a variety of cakes, pies, cookies and more sweet treats fresh out of the oven on a daily basis, with a selection that could please even the pickiest dessert lover. They also feature vegan cakes, cupcakes and pies.

Those on the go can also savor Honeypie's creations from the comfort of their own homes. The restaurant takes orders for whole pies and cakes and cupcakes by the dozen.
