For the seventh straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2013.

Since this category was introduced, Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro at 3133 E. Newberry Blvd. has been your favorite – and it maintained that crown in 2013 with another convincing victory for Best French Restaurant in Milwaukee.

Lake Park Bistro has robust lunch and brunch menus, as well as a dinner menu that begins with Premier Plats and Charcuterie Et Fromage (cold meats and cheese), before le plat principal options such as the vegetarian Riz de Camargue, along with dishes of Les Volailles (chicken), Les Poissons (fish) and Les Viandes (steak).

The dessert menu includes mousses, tarts, cakes, sorbets and of course the Bistro’s renowned crème brulee. (Don’t forget to order the fromage between dinner and the start of dessert!)

Wauwatosa's Le Reve was the runner-up.
